DISCOVERING FRENCH ARTISTS IN FRANCE


Meant to showcase the vitality and diversity of French contemporary creation, the Focus offer a unique opportunity to discover over the course of a few days a selection of productions and to meet and exchange with French artists and programmers from all over the world.


FOCUS DANCE
21-24 SEPTEMBER 2016, LYON


The Focus dance will be part of the 17th Lyon Dance Biennale / France. This new edition, organised by the French Institute, Lyon Dance Biennale and Onda, takes place from 21th to 24th September 2016. 4 days of professional exchanges, 8 productions to be seen, to premiere, and meetings with the artists.

Programmers speed dating

For the first time, Dance Meeting takes place during the Focus. On 23th september, at Musée des Confluences exchanges on artistic issues (dance productions to be seen, to premiere), between French and foreign professionals.


FOCUS PERFORMING ARTS SCENE
1-11 OCTOBER 2015, GREATER PARIS

The Performing Arts Focus is a collective project, devised by the French Institute and Onda, which invites professionnals to test the vitality of the French scene on an itinerary spread throughout the Greater Paris area taking in some fifteen venues and over 20 shows.

This multidisciplinary event helped discover a vibrant, surprising performing arts scene grounded in the present of today’s world.

It was also provided moments to meet artists and other programmers in more intimate conditions, through discussions, meetings, rehearsals or artists’ fairs.

The Performing Arts Focus was ended on October 11 and has a great success.

FOCUS DANCE
17-20 SEPTEMBER 2014, LYON

The Focus danse will be part of the 16th Lyon Dance Biennale / France taking place from 10th to 30th September 2014.

For this new edition, dance opens up, and embraces other disciplines working on the movement issue. Over the course of 4 days, 11 shows and creations, meetings with artists, debates, presentation of european professional networks will be proposed to the presenters.

The Focus danse is organised by The Biennale de la danse in Lyon and Onda.

11-13 APRIL 2013, NANTES

A platform dedicated to new french productions for young audiences.

FOCUS THÉÂTRE
20-23 MARCH 2013, MAUBEUGE / MONS

PERFORMANCES / ICE-BREAKERS. Over four days, a dozen shows presented and ten directors participating in the Ice-breakers...

Focus théâtre/fr is a collective project. It was envisioned and carried through by Manège Maubeuge-Mons, Institut Français and Onda as part of the Via Festival.

This event is entirely devoted to theatre and aims to showcase the vitality and diversity of the creations of young artists from France and French-speaking Belgium.

Over four days, a dozen shows will be presented on the various stages in Mons and Maubeuge and some ten directors to be met during the Ice-breakers / Artists’ salons.

FOCUS DANCE
19-22 SEPTEMBER 2012, LYON

The 3rd edition of Focus danse is organised by Biennale de la danse, Institut français, Onda and Nacre to help professionnals scout the French choreographic scene.

For this edition, Onda has devised "Ice-breakers" sessions to provide a space for dialogue, during which artists can present to participating professionnals their approaches and creation.

Participating artists : Dominique Brun, Fanny de Chaillé, Collectif Loge 22, Herman Diephuis, Olivier Dubois, Myriam Gourfink, Anne Nguyen, Maud le Pladec, Caterina et Carlotta Sagna, Claudia Triozzi.
